Let me tell you about the time I met Spencer. It all started during the Fourth of July in 2019 when we were staying at a rental house on the Bay of Gull Lake with our friends. We called the house the "MTV house," and that's where I saw Spencer for the first time. He greeted my friend Marissa with a hug, and I chimed in and briefly introduced myself to him as "Abby's sister." I couldn't help but notice how cute he was. In fact, I saved a Snapchat video of him chugging a beer bong on the dock that day!

The second time we saw each other was at O'Hare airport, and we made direct eye contact. We both recognized each other, but Spencer wishes he had joined me at the bar and bought me a beer. A few months passed, and our close friend Marissa had a housewarming party in Kalamazoo. As soon as I walked into her apartment with my sister and her boyfriend (Q&A), I saw Spencer again. This time, he was cracking jokes, and I seriously could not stop laughing. He even shared a hilarious story about projectile vomiting blueberries in his car at a gas station, and that's when I knew I wanted to be with this funny, charismatic man.

So, I took matters into my own hands and took his phone, added my number to his contacts, and left the ball in his court to be the first to reach out. And he did! We went on dog walks in the park and even had dinner together on my birthday when I was battling COVID. Everything felt so natural with Spencer, and before we knew it, he asked me to be his girlfriend. And now, we're getting married!
